Recently, Taylor had the pleasure of photographing the engagement session of Victoria and Tristen, a couple who traveled all the way from Texas to have their engagement portraits taken during their Spring break week. March in Colorado can be snowy and cold, especially in the mountains. Thankfully, we ended up with a great day in the 50s.

The location for their engagement session was the Mount Falcon West Trailhead. Which boasts stunning mountain views and fields with evergreen trees. The location was perfect for capturing the love between Victoria and Tristen, and provided a beautiful backdrop for their photos.

As Victoria and Tristen are planning a Fall wedding at the Homestead at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park, Colorado, their engagement portraits in the mountains will serve as a fun preview for their wedding guests who will get to enjoy the view with them.

Taylor, the owner and lead photographer for Taylor Nicole Photography, used both digital and film formats to capture the essence of Victoria and Tristen’s love. The film photos were taken on a medium format camera, the Pentax 645nii, with portra 800 film stock. The film rolls were then processed and developed by Photovision prints.
