Kari Ann & Grant planned a stunning late Summer wedding at the Upper Ranch at Spruce Mountain in Larkspur, Colorado. Late July at Spruce Mountain Ranch is perfectly warm, the fields still have a green tint with golden touches. The design of their day fit the Summer tones well, and myself, other vendors and the guests couldn’t stop commenting on how gorgeous the caramel colored roses were!

In typical Colorado weather fashion the rain moved in before the ceremony time. Everyone reset and Kari Ann & Grant had the first ceremony in the Aspen room. It was the perfect way to stay dry while still enjoying the views of the green hills and fields of the venue.

Kari Ann and Grant had a wedding party of over 14 people and the energy it brought to their portraits was joyful and fun.

The upper ranch of Spruce Mountain Ranch is a Colorado Wedding Photographer’s dream because of the directional light and close mountain views. The fields for portraits are close to the getting ready locations and it provides a simple, rustic charm for the wedding portraits.
