Rocky Mountain National Park Estes Park Colorado Engagement Photos taken by Taylor Nicole Photography | Colorado Wedding Photographer
Jamie and I have switched places.. Yep that’s true. I first met Jamie several years ago while she was teaching in Colorado. I had recently moved to Colorado from Kansas City, well fast forward a few years and now Jamie moved from Colorado to Kansas City! Probably the coolest part about this, is we actually ran into each other in the KCI airport (which if you’ve flown out of Kansas City before you actually know it’s tiny and not that hard to run into people there…) when I was flying back to Colorado after visiting my family in KC, and she was returning home from visiting her family in Colorado. If I keep telling the story of how I’ve known Jamie you all are going to be dizzy with my KC and CO references so I will stop it there.
The best part of the story, and why there is even a blog post for you to be reading is Jamie and Rob’s story! I actually got to talk with Rob and hear his proposal plans before they were engaged! We went ahead and scheduled their engagement session during their next trip to Colorado. So fast forward to their session date… this might have been the coldest session I’ve photographed all year… definitely in the top 3 coldest! People know Colorado for the snow and mountains, but what they don’t think about is the WIND! Which I’ve learned can help create these beautiful emotion filled portraits, but also is absolutely freezing. All in all we laughed and tried to avoid frost bite together all through the Rocky Mountain National Park, we chased the sunlight through different stops along the way. Some of my favorite mountain engagement portraits to date. Scroll down and check them out!
Thanks for visiting the blog! I hope you loved being inspired by Jamie & Rob’s RMNP engagement session without the wind burn of actually being there. I can’t wait for their Spring wedding back in Kansas City! That’s right KC, I’m coming home! (for a wedding… not for good because.. remember those mountains, yeah I live there and they’re too cool to leave!)
